Union Station

Last day of the conference and my last day riding the subway. And I finally figured out how to find out which line was the right one to take. But I am still unsure if that system works every time ...

No media events at the conference, just a day of workshops and sessions. For me it was all about deploying mobile applications on different platforms, from a single code source. And Flash-Flex/ Flash Builder 4.6, and more on PhoneGap. And the best uses of each, and comparisons. Very interesting stuff. I am not sure even Adobe is clear on the best approach yet, but my interpretation is the Flash Builder is the gaming development tool, and AdobeEdge and PhoneGap are the app builders, both for the web and native apps.

And then into downtown LA to have a look around. Didn't buy anything, jumped on the subway, headed back to the hotel, via a walk around Chinatown at night. Was pretty interesting.

Overall, it's been a brilliant trip, people have been surprisingly friendly (at times) and it's felt pretty safe, even riding the subway late at night.

Off to Joshua Tree National Park tomorrow for a couple of days. Should be warm and quite - a perfect environment to reflex on the learnings of the past few days.
