Last speckled woods

Managed to escape for a lunch time walk today. Our very crowded office was so noisy this morning, I had to resort to my ipod to try and get some concentration going. Could be interesting when we are in our new open plan office.

It was lovely and sunny in the lanes - but definitely a chill in the air today. I saw about 4 speckled wood butterflies basking in the sun as I went round the lanes. Some looked tattier than others. This one still had some iridescent hairs on its back.
