In The Occupied Territory

Dot dash

These are dots you don't want to dash on. These are situated at a junction, on the pavement on Back Wynd. They are supposed to be of assistance to blind or partially sighted people. Most of the other ones throughout the cityy are all made of stone. These though as you can see are made of metal, embedded in the pavement.
I was thinking the other week about how dangerous they could be when they are wet, as they do tend to get slippy. Not long after I had this though, I did a hire from the A and E. The passenger was a female in her mid twenties who had slipped and fallen on these very things. She was, quite rightly going to try and sue the council.
What makes thing worse is that the are situated beside some pubs, and on a taxi rank, thus making the chance of losing your balance on them, all the more likely.
Have a safe weekend.
