Bankers!

A new phenomenon is springing up in town.

The Clothes Bank.

Clothes Banks work in the same way as money banks, although if you read Wikipedia's description of banking with no former knowledge, you really wouldn't have a clue what that is - along with most bankers and the Chancellor of the Exchequer.

Here's the basics.

1.You can use clothes as legal tender to buy items, obviously it's easier to spend more in the winter .

2. You can save clothes for the future. Recently I saved a mac for a rainy day.

3. You can borrow clothes, such a good idea, when you don't want to pay a fortune for an outfit you're only likely to wear once.

4. It's easy to downsize or upsize at a clothes bank, although I'm upsizing on a regular basis

5. Best of all if anyone says 'Blimey did you take out a mortgage for that?' You can smile sweetly and agree.
