Feather

I went to Deerness looking for migrant birds, especially one with the excellent name 'red-flanked bluetail'. I didn't find one, of course. I did see interesting birds though like peregrine, hen harrier, short-eared owl, and snow bunting. I ran into a couple of the RSPB wardens who were out looking for a 'rfb' too. We looked around and found a barred warbler and a brambling. At the little garden in a quarry at Grindigar, there were chiffchaffs ,blackcaps and goldcrests.

I found this feather and photographed it on a notepad for ID purposes, but I think it is just from the guinea-hens that live along the road.
