From the road to Garth

Volunteering with the RSPB on Shapinsay today. Last time I helped out, I was ripping up an old fence. This time, I was putting a fence up! It was to manage grazing on the reserve at Mill Dam. There were only the two of us, so it was quite tiring work, and I was glad it wasn't barbed wire we were using. Luckily, it stayed dry and there was little wind. We were working pretty much until it was time for the ferry, so I didn't have time to scout about for a photograph. I got Lorna, the RSPB woman, to stop the pick-up on the way to the pier for a minute so I could capture these clouds.
