Thistle, Exposed!

Last fall and even into the winter months, I loved taking photos of Milkweed that had "exploded". The fine threads inside were so amazing and if the light caught them just right, they had an almost "rainbow" look to them.

As I was walking about in the "Butterfly field" at Allegany State Park, I came upon a thistle that had burst forth and was as intriguing as the milkweed I had so admired!
