A cut above...

There are greenhouses and greenhouses and this one sure caught our attention as we passed by it while walking through a quite village on our Friday walk this morning.

I bet its owner has great fun in it pottering about even when the weather is pretty bleak outside. There is nothing like a greenhouse for lengthening the gardening year and there's something particularly snug about them when the weather begins to get chilly.

We had a great walk - there were 22 of us and the day couldn't have been more ideal. Blue skies and a weak sun with the trees beginning to colour up and a sprinkling of leaves on the ground. We can't compare with New England but autumn is still shaping up quite well.

For the record: 15C, blue skies, some sun and just a perfect October day.
