I have been labouring like Sisyphus today. I didn't have to push a huge rock up the hill to see it fall down again. I have cleaned and organised Hanna's room. Again. It will have to be done again. I have no doubt about it.

I am currently rereading my favourite series of books of my teenage years and the father/grandfather of the family is a classical philologist. This makes me think of all Greek and Roman myths and causes those un-English idioms. Or maybe labour of Sisyphus exists in English?
