The Bridge (on a foggy day)

I don't think I would ever tire of taking photos of the Golden Gate Bridge.

On this morning it was fascinating: we arrived at its edge to see... nothing! Like there was no bridge at all, just an expanse of fog.

As we walked on to it though the fog would shift for a few seconds making for some fun photos - now you see it, now you don't.

I liked this shot, of the bridge going off in to nothing. Spooky and slightly unsettling.

In fact the fog burned off and we spent another great day around San Fran, calling in here, wandering around Cow Hollow a bit, then jumping on SF's fantastic bus system to Downtown, the Ferry Building and back (eventually) to North Beach for a real San Francisco institution: Beach Blanket Babylon. A revue show like no other. Costumes, dancing, singing and even Susan Boyle got a mention. A great laugh :-)
