Silent killers

It is not until I started taking photographs of the optimistically named Zero Emission logo that these two geezers decided that it was actually ok to treat this car as an object of curiosity and get closer (but you'll notice that it is their upper body getting closer to the "thing", their arses are staying safely behind, just in case...)

I still think that the name is wrong though, the car should be called Nissan One Omission. The omission being that emission-free electricity is but a fraction of the current electricity production. I can't bring myself to categorising nuclear energy as emission-free. And the still paltry little PR exercises in wind/sun/wave energy are still just that: paltry little PR exercises.
But even if cars were powered by condensed pigs' farts and creating holes in the ozone layer the size of a small galaxy, some smartass marketing dude would manage to wax lyrical about its green properties.

As for the car itself, well, it looks like a Micra with a plug up its arse. Niiiiiice.

My main reservation with the vehicle though is the fact that it is powered by a virtually soundless electric engine. I have hellish visions of silent killers roaming the streets of my neighbourhood, Grannies in electric powered Micras violating all possible rights of way without a sound or whisper.
Not niiiiiiiiiiice.
