Done!

This is as near as I can get to showing the finished article. I have stripped 4 chairs of their dark wood stain and and now wax polished and buffed them to a soft sheen.

My daughter will finish them by re-upholstering the seats - I have just placed one of my cushions there for the photo. I like wood of all shades and am rarely influenced by fashions, thankfully neither is my daughter and I'm sure she will make these fit her new flat with her other eclectic possessions.

Now the house has a lovely smell of beeswax!
