I left it a little late

... to take this blip. I was hoping that we might have a sunset this evening given that we'e had a mix of clear blue sky and then heavy, heavy showers. It's been so cold and windy too.

A bit of a sorting out day today including some work on the allotment pages on the Parish Council website. The red/green colour scheme on this new website is something else and we appear to be stuck with it now, despite me pointing out the problems that people who are colour blind will face. Even those of us who see colours have problems with red & green as they clash and create optical illusions. If you want to have your eyeballs blasted take a look here. If they had opted for my chosen route of using Wordpress the Parish Council would have saved a small fortune and we would also have been able to change the background and font at the click of a button. No doubt the website company wants a small fortune to make any changes now! It's one of those issues that still continues to rile me - it was the first time I'd encountered such blatant sexism in a long time.

The highlight of the day was a sparrowhawk sitting on the top of a post in the garden this morning - clearly he was waiting for breakfast to be served at the bird feeding station. It was so windy this morning that catching food must have been quite a problem.

And ... as I drove down the lane to take this photo there were pheasants everywhere, obviously the road was a warm place to shelter from the storm.
