Big Boy Birthday

I can't believe Aidan turned two today - it hardly seems like any time at all since he was born.

I had the day off work so as we could do something fun - we ended up taking the boys to the National Museum so as Aidan could wander round and look at the exhibits (last time we were there for the reopening, it was a bit busy to get a decent look at things). Aidan really seemed to enjoy himself at the museum, although he was knackered by the time we got home. After a wee nap, it was time for another play of his toys before the grandparents arrived with more presents. Then, seeing as it was Aidan's special day, we all had takeaway pizza and chips, which is his current favourite, and which he had been asking for all day (since breakfast).

Here is the birthday boy blowing out a candle on a wee cupcake this morning. He got a bigger cake tonight after dinner and blew out the candle again - something he seems to be quite good at!
