The Man Without a Golden Gun, somewhat regretfully

This is James Bond Island, in Phang Nga Bay in Thailand. It's famous for being pretty, and for featuring in the Bond film the Man with the Golden Gun. I haven't seen that one, but I'm guessing some sort of high-speed boat chase around the pinnacle, culminating in a romantic liaison on one of the island's beaches.

The scene hides the fact that behind me there was a plethora of jostling tourists with very little floor space each. In Thailand you sometimes feel like you're on a conveyor belt along with other tourists, and that these sights were meant to be enjoyed in a state of peace and tranquillity, undisturbed by aggressive tour guides and roaring boat engines.

The day was a very nice break from two weeks of meetings, and was largely taken up with childish jumping in from the boat we were on, trying and failing to perfect the forward somersault.
