novelty worn back in

8:30pm and watching a film with Mrs theWeir.

What makes this all the more remarkable is that it's a film neither of us have seen before or know anything about. It's The Lincoln Lawyer.

And, as I write this the subsequent evening, it was a good film for two tired people to enjoy. In fact, we'd probably have enjoyed it even if we weren't tired.

We're watching it in the living room and here, on the wall, is a print of one of the photos taken on our second trip to New Zealand (there's a shot of the same place from a different angle here).

We live such privileged lives. Tomorrow will mark our twelfth wedding anniversary, and it's been far from dull as we've grown up together, scaled challenges and sped down mountain sides with each other for company.

I have no idea what tomorrow (figuratively) will bring. But I am very grateful for moments like this which we can treasure.

The novelty doesn't wear off.
