The Edge of the Wold

Exchanging glances

Levens Park, Cumbria

A backblip. I knew that I would spend most of the daylight hours in a hotel in Southport, so I stopped off at Levens Park on my way into Kendal. The fallow deer in the Park are rutting at the moment. I was hoping to catch a silhouette of a male on the rising ground, but they weren't so obliging. Ths hind was feeding under the trees, but looked up to watch what I was doing. The deer in the Park are an unusual dark form - not that you'd be able to tell from this.

After that it was to work, then a drive down to Southport to spend a couple of days on a training course. More of that in tomorrow's backblip.
