One handed typing

I returned to work at the Science Museum today. Typically, I'd forgotten it was half term! Therefore, I popped up to the horological gallery - not that popular with the kids!

This gorgeous little thing is an Italian ivory tablet sundial. It allowed travellers to tell the time regardless of whether they were in Rome or Venice. Very handy for the frequent flyers of the Doge.
