Crinan Cormorant

Sem to be saying this a lot but iI do think LARGE might be wrth a look.

Dry for the most part today but not too bright so we went to the Gallery at Crinan. Wonderful art works there on display. My favourites were some 3D art using driftwood attached to wooden backgrounds. The artist used the textures and shapes to sugest the image. Painted in muted blues and greys these little sea scenes about 10 x 8 inches were quite stunning.

Also on display but not for sale were some wonderful George Wylie pieces. Thes should definitely form part of the new exhibition at the Gallery of Modern Art in Glasgow. I find it difficult to believe that they are planning an exhibiton of modern art/ sculpture with no Wylie images.

Off course no photography in the gallery and quite right too. So it was a case of meandering around the canal basin at crinan enjoying the reflections on the dark water. WE spotted some cormorants diving, got a few blips of them . John chose this one for me to blip tonight. Hope you like it as much as he did.
