Roast figs, honey & goat's cheese

Waitrose had some beautiful-looking fresh figs at half price the other day, and they were just too tempting. Then when I got home, I remembered that I don't actually like fresh figs. Ya, I know, you'd think I'd have remembered before buying them and getting all the way home, but they were just so pretty?

So I decided to pretend that I knew what I was doing and roast them with some honey, walnuts, thyme and goat's cheese for dinner. They turned out rather delicious, if I do say so myself. Which is just as well because then I can pretend that I'd totally planned to buy fresh figs and make this.
