One daze at a time...

By Raheny_Eye

I got stoned and surfed in Lahinch.

Lahinch. Surf City.

Where the young and trendy city types dress in thick neoprene and get bashed about by the pounding waves (I did not see much surfing going on - as in people actually standing for more than a nanosecond on a surf bored).
Where the older locals indulge in a spot of neoprene-clad babe watch. Or get high on the hard stuff

The weather was most unusual. Overcast (well, that bit is not unusual) but a rather warm 16 degrees celsius for late October, windless and foggy. With a big swell!

The morning had been most enjoyable. The dads took the army of kids to the beach and silently and peacefully watched the kids having a ball and getting wet (as opposed to when the mums are around and everybody watches the kids getting just as wet but in a more stressful manner with the shouty negative as the preferred form of communication).

Rejects:

Not overly impressed by the talent on show.
Surf baby
Long wave television: the show is not varied but quite beautiful.
Big rollers in his big hair
The decisive but unfortunately slightly short moment.
Emulation
More jumping
Washed away
Can't quite remember when I took this

With the grump (aka Glog Hater)
