One daze at a time...

Play misty for me

Mrs Raheny and I decided to leave the litter of little Rahenies back at Nana's to escape for a crack of dawn (8.30 am!!!) walk around Erris Head.
Even though it was pretty clear that the chances of rain were pretty shaggin' high.

But we're the hardy type. We're not afraid of a bit of rain.

And the alternative was to arbitrate yet another corn flakes -vs- shreddies flinging battle and early morning bickering session.

The walk did us a world of good.

Unfortunately its goodness evaporated pretty fast after 4.5 hours spent in the car following articulated lorries spraying mist.

I also think that Mrs Raheny overdosed on Highway to Hell's Bells.
She is not after all a dyed in the wool Alternative Current fan (I can't find the little lightning symbol on my keyboard to make a proper AC-DC).
They asked for Highway to Hell (track no.1) and Hell's Bells (track no.5) to be played not less than 8 times.

I also discovered new units of measure for long car trips with them:

Mimi: When will we be there?
Raheny_Eye: We're still a long way away. We'll be there in two Ice Age 1s

[...]

Mimi: And now, how far are we?
Raheny_Eye: We're still three episodes of Pokemon away from Nana's house

[...]

Mimi: are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?
Raheny_Eye: almost! We are one episode of Pokemon and one Tom and Jerry away from Nana's house.

Pointless (and priceless) competition of the week:
SPOT THE DOLPHINS!
