Ace Ventura

Yesterday it was the penguins and today its the birds (are they parrots?!) flocking to see Andy. It was our first day driving along the Great Ocean Road from Melbourne to Apollo Bay, we stopped to see Koalas in the wild along Grey River Road, and there they were just hanging out in the trees! The birds seemed well used to tourists and enjoyed sitting on the car or, as this one was perching on Andy's arm!

The Eco Beach YHA hostel at Apollo Bay may have just taken the top spot for best hostel in Australia visited by us so far! Its lovely, big kitchens and lounges with a roaring fire (yes it's actually cold here and we need it!) and views of the sea. I think we're only a couple of degrees warmer than home but its predicted to be 28c and sunny for the weekend.
