Sgwarnog: In the Field

Autumn Mills

This is the familiar outline of Manningham Mills, otherwise known as Lister Mills, which dominates the skyline in the northern half of the city. It was once the largest silk factory in the world, making a change from the usual wool production in the city.  Of course, as a vegan, I'm glad that the silk and wool industries are heritage rather than contemporary, although that may not be a popular view.

This is a long shot, taken from the campus in the city centre.  The frame of leaves gives an autumn feel, although the decsion as to which aspect to bring into focus is unresolved, which served me right for letting the camera make the decision for me.
