Bonfire Night

We decided the little ones were finally old enough to stay up a bit later to go out to a proper Bonfire Night dispaly, rather than just watching all the fireworks from the upstairs window. Our local display was at the village rugby club, and was very busy.

For pictures I was somewhat skeptically using the "fireworks" setting on my camera for the first time, and have been quite pleased with the results. Although this image isn't of the most spectacular firework, I like the way that it shows the full life of the firework from ground to sky, and you have the shadows of those brave folk setting them off at the bottom. You can also just about pick out a set if rugby posts at bottom left.

3yo and 7yo enjoyed the show, although there was one dodgy moment when when one of the rockets didn't launch, and then exploded on the ground careening off into the bushes.
