Snowy sawdust

Stayed in Bend today for an unaccustomed non-driving day on our travels. This is at the High Desert Museum near Bend where they teach you about the history and wildlife of the area. They had a great bird show with raptors that had been rescued from various horrible situations and other local animals to look at. I always worry about these animal exhibits, but they made it very clear that the animals had all been rescued and weren't capable of life in the wild, so even my sensibilities were satisfied.

The picture is a very over-photoshop'd pic of the sawmill which is a reconstruction of a late 1800s (I think) steam powered mill. I just liked the way the sawdust turned to snow. Just so you know, the effect I was going for was when colour photography was very new and a bit rubbish and everything looked oddly coloured and a bit fuzzy. Didn't quite get there...

So finally up to date (at least in my time zone) with blip - we have good wifi today - the backblips have been going up slowly over the last few days but start here. Yesterday's seems to have gone awry, so will be replaced if it doesn't show up...
