Greenwich

A decidedly uneventful day of meetings punctuated by a brief walk along the Thames at Greenwich. In the foreground are some of the 16 cast iron Doric columns which support the now disused coal jetty at Greenwich power station. The power station is over a hundred years old and was originally built to provide power for the Lonodn tram network. Its main use now (as an oil-fired station) is as a back-up supply for London Underground.
