The gloom scale

Today is a 9 on the gloom scale (of 10).
10 is reserved for post-nuclear warfare permafrost everlasting night.
This is a necessary thing. Without a day as dark and grey as today's, the sunny days wouldn't seem as bright and would therefore not be associated with the frenzied joy and goodwill that they always bring.
Or so I am trying to convince myself...

What is the actual weight of a cloud?
Cause I can feel it weighing down on my shoulders and on the building above my head.
I feel like the Atlas of Dublin meteorological gloom... (How self-centred is that?)
