The Photo Diary of Alison

Vancouver, BC

It took some time, but we eventually found a place to stay at a hostel in Vancouver that cost $20ea. It wasn't too shabby, but a little off because it consisted of quite a few permanent residents. Pam decided to hold back and nap at the hostel because she was trying to prevent a migraine. Aimee and I found our way to Stanley park and had a superb time. It was a lot of fun. We saw a little bit of Vancouver after this, and then went to meet Pamela at the hostel. We went to Gastown and talked to a nice guy, Hank, at a shop who told us some things to do. We ate Indian food at a place in that district called Sitar, which was delicious. Every time I have Indian food, it's a total party in my mouth. We went back to the totem poles at stanley park since pam hadn't seen them. And then along the water at the park, were able to spot a seal, or possibly more than one. We went back to the hostel so Aimee could get some pants, and then met some Australian friends at a pub downstairs. We had a few there and then went out to this club that a girl named Amy took us to. It was tons of fun, mostly because they played really good 80's music, and we met lots of people who were really fun to dance with. By now, I am totally in love with the Pacific Northwest.
