Feeling fragile

After the post-Hamlet after-show party at D's place. We got in about 7am after another great night. The last night of the show went really well - a great performance to finish the run. I will miss Bernardo's guard duty as the audience take their seats, confronting Marcellus and Horatio, staring out Hamlet on his way to England, keeping a close watch on Ophelia and presiding over her funeral. But even more I will miss watching Polonius using less art, standing in the wings listening to Hamlet delivering 'Withnail's speech', listening to Claudius striving for forgiveness as Hamlet stands behind him, watching Ophelia hand out flowers and listening to all the other snippets of the most famous play in the English language.
So today has been a quiet day. Woke up in time to go to a bit of a discussion meeting about the future of BigVillage round at P's. Which is where I grabbed this blip of some of his comic book covers up on his wall.
Now trying to keep it together watching Field of Dreams. It's a film that always gets me, and I don't fully understand why it is quite so powerful, but it is. Even the little things, like when Ray comes back to his baseball field and there are two teams out there. More so than when you are supposed to feel it, when Ray plays catch with his dad. And of course the moment at the end, in the evening light when the road to the farm is full of traffic come to watch the game.
