The second half of life..

A cutsie pic........

This is so not my usual kind of pic but, having spotted this in the supermarket carpark, I couldn't resist blipping it. It was just sooooo cute!

"It's a 1929 Austin 7" she said knowledgeably!!

(Thank goodness for registration stickers and other [male!] car admirers who know about this sort of stuff!)

There are some other pics of it here if you're so inclined.

The owner arrived whilst I was blipping it and he was very happy to share it's history and a little bit about it: he's owned it for 38 years; it's recently travelled from Nelson to Invercargill (625miles or 1000kms each way) and has done a trip to Gisborne in the past; it does 50mph (80kph) and holds 4 gallons (18 litres) of petrol.

Can't help but think that he's onto a winner driving this car with petrol prices the way they are!!
