Inverness Panorama

This afternoon went the three or four miles down the A9 to Daviot. I thought the church in bright sunshine would make a nice blip. This church really stands out for travellers coming north up the A9. Coming back over the hills I stopped to take this view looking north over Inverness. The Kessock bridge carrying the A9 is easily visible in the middle and left of it is a bank of low cloud over the Beauly Firth. Behind the bridge and to the right the Black Isle rises out of another bank of cloud over the Moray Firth. I almost looks as if it is an island. In the end this is the shot I decided to go with - Daviot will still be there another day.
