Jonno's wrist got broken in the process of his arrest during the student protests the week before last. The splint he was given was, frankly, shit (it was for the wrong arm, for a start). On top of his arrest (leading to a conditional charge) and the pain caused by this, he's been struggling with pneumonia and became homeless the week before the occupations started. A crap cast was just one more bit of stress the poor sod could do without.

Step forward my mate, Anna, a doctor at the Royal London hospital in Whitechapel. After we told her about his predicament, she immediately offered to have him ask for her at A&E on Tuesday, where she not only gave him this cast, but also tested him for anemia (he isn't, somehow). Jonno now loves Anna, too.
