Furnace Lass

Dramatic Sky

The past few days have been very dark and dreich, didn't get any blips yesterday so was determined to get one today. I did spot some sunshine early this orning but it was gone in a blink. How I miss the warm sunny days in Cyprus. Think we'll go there for the winter next year.

Anyway we had to head to Lochgilphead for some shopping , very little for ourselves I might add. The fish and Oscar all needed more food so , needs must.
I spotted the sun's rays as we headed oot of Furnace, stopped off at Coille Mhieanan , just before Crarae and Minard to get this blip. Weekends in Argyll should know this view very well. The tiny island in the distance is known locally as Minard Island although it does have a Gaelic name on the maps.

The sun didn't manage to overcome the clouds although it did seem to be making a valiant effort to shine through. Nope, it certainly didn't up our end of the Loch but it was dry and sunny in Lochgilphead 15 miles away. Then the heavens opened and we got soaked walking through the town.

never mind , home now and feeling warm and well fed after a big bowl of home made Scotch Broth . Might crack open some wine later.

In contrast to tonight's Argyll upload you can see a sunny seascape from Cyprus

A beach just like Furnace beach ???
