so, with great regret i must announce the final sculpture by the sea blip for 2011!

it's been a wonderful exhibition to have such free access to right on my doorstep. it has also, of course, provided wonderful blip fodder and i've loved sharing the joy of these sculptures through my journal.

so, today's final sculpture blip is of the first sculpture i see whenever i enter the path - a family of zebra! it was a pity that a sunny morning turned into a rainy afternoon, but fortunately i had blipped already, and (unfortunately!) had lots of chores to do this afternoon.

so, it's evening and i'm ironing a week's worth of work clothes while the smell of banana loaf baking wafts around the house. i can hardly believe i've had over three months off work while we've moved out here. i'm sure that tomorrow will be a shock to the system and i'll be exhausted in that 'first day back at school after the summer holidays' way. fingers crossed it all goes well!

and as for the banana loaf - hope that tastes good too. it seems to be the in thing here, but since a slice of banana loaf and a coffee will set you back at least ten dollars in my local cafe, i thought i may as well go for the homemade effort. M gets back from Phoenix tomorrow so hopefully he can enjoy a cafetiere coffee and a slice of loaf on his return home! can't wait to have him back :) (even though i won't actually see him until friday as he goes onto nights and i'll be working all day - very odd!).

so, as for the sculptures - i found this link with more info about the exhibition and which actually has a gallery of all 109 sculptures so you can see some better shots! you can also buy the sculptures. i'd love to see what the purchaser of the tap does with it!!

so, here's to the end of the sculpture chapter, and to the start of my working life in sydney....
