Phlox

A bit of pre winter gardening today. Moving huge Oleanders in pots into a small greenhouse - you wouldn't believe how quickly the fun went out of that. There was much swearing and on my part, one vindictive bit of pruning on an apple tree that poked me in the temple once too often. I call it Stumpy now.

I phoned my mother today and she asked for my address. I had to spell it and that was a farce. In German, the letter "E" is pronounced like the English letter "A" and the German "I" is like the English "E" . What should have been a relatively simple exercise took about 5 minutes. I think in German in some instances and spelling is one.

Gute Besserung zu Gisela und Alice. Both women have had rubbish weeks and I hope that things get much better soon.
