Flash Of Colour

Steel grey day today and temperatures in single figures. It's unlikely to get any warmer this week and I've already got an extra blanket on my side of the bed.

Which brings me to Cultural Differences - An Ongoing Series. It is traditional that if you share a bed here, you have your own single quilt. You don't have to fight for a corner. If you book a double room in an Hotel, you'll find that you have two single beds pushed together and a single quilt for each. I'm not sure that I like it as an idea but I can see the advantage in having your own quilt so that you are sufficiently warm/cool according to how you feel.

Today's Blip are these lovely flowers that have appeared in our driveway. They're a bit burned out because they got Auto flashed and I'm damned if I know a way to avoid that happening with my little point and shoot. Practise would probably help though.
