Cemetery in Late Fall

This is the Bridge Street Cemetery in Northampton--essentially the same view that I blipped five weeks ago, with explanatory links. Comparing the two shots, it's clear that the large tree on the right has had a branch cut off in the meantime; that must be a result of our disastrous pre-Halloween snow disaster.

I've been intrigued with the notion of photographing the same location ever since I saw Ruth Orkin's book, A World Through My Window (1978), with photographs from her apartment overlooking Central Park in NYC, take over a quarter century. It's an inspiring book.

A bald eagle appears in the year-ago blip.
