New Canadian poppy quarter

In 2004, the Royal Canadian Mint issued the world's first coloured general-circulation coin - a poppy - to commemorate Remembrance Day and our veterans. It was neat and quite unusual - so unusual, it caused quite a stir in the Excited States, I mean the United States. U.S. military contractors in Canada brought some home and some were confiscated by border authorities and others concerned it was some kind of spy nanotechnology (I am NOT kidding. Look it up. Here's the CBC story and CBC video.). It blew over after a while. The second Remembrance Day coin did not have any colouring on it as I recall. The new ones issued this month and blipped today have two poppies. We shall see if it causes another, albiet brief, frenzy.
