new territory

well, new for me anyway - took a walk across the brooklyn bridge today. i almost blipped the rust spots (i got strange looks snapping those!), then thought that was maybe trying a bit too hard, so i went for artsy instead. took a bit of finding the way to get on the thing, but it was a nice walk across on a sunny day and there's a great view of either side from a slightly different vantage point. wish i'd put more sunscreen on tho - beating down on my face is one thing, but when i'm wearing a halterneck top... not attractive!

also took a look at the telectroscope at the brooklyn end of the bridge: interesting and clever and undoubtedly in the 'but is it art?' category. too lazy to wait in line to wave at a stranger in london tho. also too lazy to walk back over the bridge, so took a water taxi instead. hey, it's supposed to be a holiday!
