Compositition Number 426 - Golden Mask

My son bought Slam Man some years ago.
He is lifesize, made of hard plastic and filled with soft sand (Slamman that is)
Generally he has little sense of either fun or humour.
Tonight he is wearing a golden mask.
I wonder why ..................
