A view from Jeanneb

A brief appearance!

We were promised a lovely day and so we ('the ladies that walk early') gathered on the moor above the village at just after 8.00am to start our morning walk.

I watched the sun breaking through the scattered cloud and took some silhouetted trees against the light and then the shot above as the sun cleared the clouds.
You can see the water processing plant at Chellow Heights on the outskirts of Bradford on the horizon to the left of the rocks.
Even though the paths were very wet from last night's rain I was confident the sun was going to dominate the day.

We walked down Deepcliffe and back up to Keighley Road before re crossing the moor but here the rain found us - almost horizontal as we made our way back. A brief glimpse of the sun again long enough to give me a rainbow to photograph.

At the other end of the rainbow horses galloped past.

We were thoroughly wet by the time we were back at the cars.

The day didn't improve much either - I have to say it felt very wintery in that slanting rain.
