Thanksgiving for Cats

From inside Mother Comfort's living room, a feast was observed as the sun shone one the bird feeder after a stormy night. Needing a break from doing nothing...one of the most difficult things for her to do...she grabbed her little camera and perched on the porch waiting for the birds to return to the feeder. Not having a blind to hide in, it was a seriously long wait. She pondered remembering the same scene one year prior when, doing the same activity with a cell phone camera and no zoom, she stood perfectly still a couple feet from the feeder until the birds returned. This was different and pleasant. Finally, after a long wait, the birds returned. Clicking and snapping, their numbers increasing with a flurry of activity until an approaching 'Meow...meow...' could be heard by all. Eagerly the neighborhood fur ball rushed down the walk hoping to get a good scratch behind the ears before she disappeared behind the door.

...birds gone...
