showtime!

this evening M and i had the pleasure of accompanying a couple of newly found friends to see Eddie Izzard at the State Theatre, Sydney.

really lovely to be able to leave work and wander up the street to see the show. and what a show it was! i'd highly recommend Eddie Izzard live. although if you're a devout christian, then this particular show may not be the one for you. full of athiest ramblings, nonsense, jazz chickens and a journey through time and creation to disprove the existence of God, the audience were (mainly) in stitches. i understand that this tour, 'Stripped', has been going for a while so it's taken a while to hit Oz, but i'm glad we had the chance to see it. i love live performances and the State Theatre is undoubtedly a beautiful setting.

now to get onto ticketmaster to see what we can see at the Opera House....

(ps. apologies to those people who kindly commented on my bicycle blip which somehow appeared as yesterday's entry as well as saturday's... i've deleted the duplicate now but appreciate the lovely comments!)
