Seattle bound

Today was the end of the outdoorsy bit of our holiday when we left the Olympic National Park to head over Puget Sound into Seattle. Olympic Park was great - we're just waiting until the kids are big enough to carry their own weight in hiking gear, and we'll be back to explore it properly.

This is taken from the Seattle Ferry and shows Mount Rainier. It had never really occurred to me before how close it is to the city - let's hope it stays quiet.

I have to confess that this shot was taken by Mr MT as I was on an urgent toilet mission with a desperate child. However, in my defence, I had told him exactly the shot I wanted, and was just waiting for the ferry to swing around to the correct angle....
