Hotfix

In the company I used to work for, when you had to make an emergency change to software it was called an "Efix" as in Emergency Fix. In the company I work for now it's called a Hotfix and every time someone said Hotfix I had this playing in my head.

It's very odd the things that go through your mind.

Apologies for yet another skyscape but it was a day of things going wrong and having to be fixed. And so being me, I fixed them and was really pleased when they worked. That's always a big moment for a programmer, does this actually do what I said it'll do or will the user find a really ingenious way of making it do something else? A tense moment.
