Rodents rule

Not an insect

But I could have posted another insect - there were so many dragonflies out today, and a lovely grasshopper-type thing in the hedge, and a fantastic, shiny green beetle.

F and I have had a fantastic day. It started out all wrong, with big winds (meaning no kayaking for F), then the streetcar people rang to say the streetcar we'd booked had been broken into and so there wasn't one available. However, one cancelled adventure spurs on another one, so we cycled to West Dulwich to catch a train to a cycle route that we do. But the trains were cancelled due to engineering works. Hmmm. We just cycled onwards and discovered some amazing views across London and a wonderful nature park at Honor Oak. We met up with the cycle route to Greenwich and discovered the Greenwich Peninsula Ecological Park, which is another wonderful green space in London, and this is where I snapped this wee coot family. We eventually cycled to Erith. Wonderful, wonderful cycling adventure!
