Woke up this morning to rain pounding on the roof - it's never loud enough to wake me up normally but I don't know whether I'm sleeping lightly because so much hurts or what.

Anyway, the first news of the day was sad - Dev Anand had died. Cool dude. I like this from one of his famous films.

Other than that it was a quiet day here; a little German learning, some cake eating (Baumkuchen) and some tea trinken. Oh and awfully good news about the bomb near Koblenz (ie it didn't explode - 1.8 tonnes of explosive would have done a lot of damage).

Today's blip is a bit of a tree that grew around the fence next to it and when they chopped the tree down, this bit was left.
