Sky Gazing or waiting for the snow to come down!

Taken in the Deer Shelter at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park (YSP), this space has a square cut into the roof so that participants can look at the sky. It was created by James Turrell. At this point the sky was a uniform grey, but soon after the hail and sleet came down again and made the experience far less comfortable.

The light has been very mixed, one minute deep purple/grey skies with shafts of sunlight and the next raging hail and sleet. Very dramatic and well worth a visit.

There were more visitors about than I expected on a Monday but not too many in the Jaume Plensa exhibition so we got to play on the gongs today (they only allow 5/6 people in at once so the last time we went it was much too busy). The installation is called `Jerusalem'.

I'm having a quiet few minutes at the moment but will shortly be on my way to the allotment group meeting where I have to stand in as secretary for the early part of the evening.
