Last flower of the year

I still have roses blooming in the garden but as for annuals this is my last flower. I picked it and put it in a little rose bud vase but it looks like it is giving up the ghost now after a week. Great orange colour still though (but I have messed with the photo digitally!) I think I may plant a ton of these next year- such a happy flower :-)

Calendula is also known as Scotch Marigold or Pot Marigold and is called as Calendula officinalis according to botany and plant science.
